Summer Term
Digital Imaging
Look at the amazing photographs of our beautiful school grounds taken by Year 6. We are so lucky!
We made our first visit to our brand new school Library just before half term. The children were in awe of how beautiful it was and thoroughly enjoyed browsing and choosing their new class reads.
Have a read of this amazing myth produced by one of our Year 6 children. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did!
Reading in Class
Over the past few weeks, we have been reading Orphans of the Tide by Struan Marray in class. To say the children have enjoyed this story would be an understatement. We are now coming towards the end of this fabulous book and, after much pleading from the children, I have ordered the sequel, Shipwreck Island.
We will be starting the book after half term and the children are more than welcome to bring in their own copy of the book to read along if they so wish.
Chester Zoo Letters
Have a look at some of the amazing letters sent to Mrs McKinnon to request a trip to Chester Zoo. How could she ever say no to these?
Electricity
The children learnt about the appearance and functions of different electrical components, including switches, bulbs, buzzers, motors, cells and wires.
